'After four years together, it's only natural for emotions to take over': Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda
Actors and former couple Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda shared an emotional moment as they came together for the first time since their divorce to shoot for their upcoming film, Muddu Rakshasi. In a video that went viral on social media, Niveditha was seen getting teary-eyed as Chandan bid her goodbye. Though it was part of the shoot, the chemistry was palpable.
Speaking at the event, Chandan said, “I have been mentally preparing for this shoot since yesterday. Yes, cinema and personal life are different. But at the end of the day, we are humans, and we were together for 4 years. So it is only natural to get carried away by emotions. The shoot is now finally over. We got separated mutually, so there is no hate or any personal agenda here. We will appear together for film promotions, too."
Niveditha was seen becoming emotional at the presser, too. She brushed it off by saying it was just last-day jitters. “We shared a bond, and we were together when we signed the film. Today is the last day of shoot, and I am a little emotional,” she said.
Society is conditioned to blame women:
Niveditha

Niveditha is being subjected to incessant trolling online. From her choice of clothes to her divorce with Chandan, everything is a trigger for online trollers. Addressing the same, she said, “Society is conditioned to blame women for everything, irrespective of whose fault it is. No one really knows what happened between us, but they simply derive pleasure by putting out their assumptions in the guise of trolls and memes. At this point, I am not even bothered about it. I don’t even open comments anymore. I am not weak-minded; they can keep trolling if that’s what brings them joy. If putting a person down can bring you joy, go ahead, do it. I will put my energy and focus on work. I believe women should be self-sufficient, and I am working towards it.”
